Dimitra Zafeiropoulou

Psychologist (BSc) / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A Few Words About Me

My name is Dimitra Zafeiropoulou, and I am a licensed psychologist.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Crete, where I obtained my first degree. I am a certified psychotherapist by the Hellenic Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Studies, having completed a four-year clinical specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the Institute for Research and Behavioral Therapy. This program meets the criteria of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT). Alongside my specialization in CBT, I completed further training in Clinical Psychopathology through educational programs offered by the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens and the Research University Institute of Mental Health, Neurosciences, and Precision Medicine “Kostas Stefanis” (EPIPSY).

For the past eight years, I have been working at the Day Center for Suicide Prevention, operated by the public organization KLIMAKA under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, as well as the National Suicide Prevention Helpline (1018). In this capacity, I provide support to individuals experiencing suicidal ideation and self-destructive behaviors, as well as to people who have lost loved ones to suicide, and those facing major clinical challenges. Additionally, I collaborated with the Adult Therapy Department of the Institute for Research and Behavioral Therapy for three years as part of my clinical specialization.

Currently, I provide private psychotherapeutic services as a member of the scientific team at MindBloom, leveraging my knowledge and experience to support adults seeking to address difficulties, improve their mental health, and enhance their quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a scientifically validated method proven highly effective in managing and treating various mental health issues. Through this process, I assist clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and in modifying patterns that perpetuate their difficulties. In therapy, I act as an equal partner, supporting clients in becoming “therapists of themselves.”

I am dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services, adhering to the principles of the Greek Code of Ethics for Psychologists. Throughout my clinical career, I have gained experience with a wide range of clinical issues, focusing on depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, and personality disorders.

I have presented scientific papers at national and international conferences and have actively participated in mental health awareness initiatives. Moreover, I continue my professional development through certified training programs, clinical supervision, and personal therapy.
