Foteini Kanaloupiti

Clinical Psychologist / Psychotherapist MSC

A Few Words About Me

My name is Foteini and I have been a therapist since 2018.
The reason behind my choice? My great curiosity for human behavior, my innate tendency to observe, but above all, my empathy and my ease of connecting with people, made my business path clear.
I studied and worked in the Netherlands (BA, University of Groningen- MSC Clinical Psychology, University of Leiden) while I was trained in Schema Therapy (London, British Psychological Society, Part 1) and in Eating Disorders (Athens, National Centre for Eating Disorders and British Psychological Society). My first experience as a therapist took place at Antiloneliness company (the Hague and Leiden, 2018) where I had the chance to support people with issues concerning adjustment, relationships, psychiatric disorders etc. while I got trained as a psychotherapist. My training in Clinical Psychology continued at KLIMAKA (Athens, 2020), where I worked for approximately two years, gaining experience in psychopathology and mainly in suicidal ideation, supporting people with psychiatric disorders and being on 24-hour duty at the National Suicide Prevention Line (1018).
MindBloom came into my life with the goal of providing holistic mental health services with key features of safety, respect for diversity and freedom of expressing thoughts and feelings.
How will I help you? Above all, you will be heard, you will be “seen” and I will support you in every possible way with respect to your own unique need. My studies as well as my experience with people from all over the world, offered me the opportunity to use a holistic model of treatment as different and dynamic as human nature itself. In this model you will find mainly elements from Schema Therapy, which has been the basis of my training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt and many more.
Human Beings are first and foremost  dynamic. They are changing, adapting and evolving. This is exactly how I perceive the healing journey and it is one of the most important reasons why I was fascinated by psychotherapy itself.
