Support Groups

Welcome to MindBloom!

“It is difficult to find happiness inside us, but it is impossible to find it anywhere else” – Arthur Schopenhauer

“I am not what happened to me. I am whatever I chose to be.” – Carl Jung

What are support groups?

Support groups are a different type of therapeutic journey. Ιn contrast to personal (1-1) therapy sessions, the therapist is not your only companion, but a group of people with a common goal, support. In groups, individuals learn to relate and explore themselves through the eyes of those around them.

The therapist’s role is different than in individual therapy, as the whole group bonds and provides each other support and care they need. The therapist plays the important role of the facilitator to ensure the smooth functioning of the group, but, by no means, is not the protagonist.

Support groups require commitment to the group and its rules which ensure that there is no criticism. The goal is security, respect but also freedom of expression of thoughts and feelings in a context where sharing becomes a relief and the meeting point with others.

How do I choose which team is right for me?

Your participation in a support group is a procedure that will be evaluated by the therapist. It is essential to have approximately three meetings with the therapist who leads the specific group. Αfter communicating with him, the appropriate group will be selected for you. The goal here is coherence with participants but also balance of the members in the long run.

By contacting Mindbloom you will be able to be informed in detail about the support groups. Which groups are open, the topic they deal with, the open spots that exist and the frequency of the meetings along with the total monthly cost for your participation.

In case you are interested, send us a message here stating the name of the group you wish to participate. We will contact you as soon as possible.
